ABOUT US

AWJ Ministries was founded by Andy Williams Jr., whose life journey reflects the mission of the organization. Once incarcerated, Andy overcame personal and systemic barriers through faith, education, and perseverance. His lived experience informs AWJ Ministries’ compassionate yet accountable approach to reentry and advocacy.

As a marketplace minister, advocate, and leader, Andy brings faith beyond church walls and into systems, communities, and policy conversations—ensuring that those most affected by incarceration have a voice, access to resources, and a path forward.

AWJ Ministries is a faith-based reentry organization committed to restoring lives, strengthening communities, and reducing recidivism through spiritual support, practical resources, and advocacy. We serve individuals who are currently and formerly incarcerated, walking alongside them as they transition from incarceration to purposeful, productive living.

Rooted in faith, our holistic approach addresses the spiritual, personal, and economic barriers that often stand in the way of successful reentry. Through mentorship, apprenticeship pathways, entrepreneurship development, and discipleship, we equip individuals with the tools needed to build stability, accountability, and long-term success.

AWJ Ministries also provides faith-based advocacy, empowering our members to advocate for themselves by understanding their rights, navigating systems, and accessing opportunities that promote dignity and restoration. We believe true justice includes both accountability and redemption.

In addition to direct services, AWJ Ministries consults with government agencies, faith-based organizations, and community partners to develop effective, faith-informed strategies that reduce recidivism while prioritizing public safety. By bridging gaps between systems, communities, and individuals, we help create sustainable solutions that support reintegration and community well-being.

Our work is grounded in the belief that transformation is possible when faith, responsibility, and opportunity come together.
